We thought that The Diving Bell & the Butterfly was a very deep and emotional story. We liked this movie though we probably would have liked it better if it were in english. It is a very touching tale with a deep and significant meaning to life. We think that he feels like a butterfly because when he is paralyzed he feels as if he is in a cocoon but when he dies he feels reborn and free just like a butterfly feels when it escapes its cocoon. This movie is a great movie and it is a timeless tale in which we could watch over and over again.
It is also a coincidence that he died on March 9,1977 and today is March 9,2009
